ON FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN TO PURCHASE SUITES 102-105 AT 101 MCCRAY ST.

HISTORY: San Benito Dance Foundation was established in 2017 to further dance education and performing arts. Funds raised in the early years were utilized for support of San Benito Dance Academy's community. Its primary function was to provide scholarships to those suffering financial hardship, so that dancers could continue to participate in not only dance education, but also in performance and further dance-education-related opportunities.

With the impact of COVID-19 and the closures and restrictions that 2020-2021 brought to the community, proceeds from SBDF fundraising were put to use to fund creative dance-education, as SBDA had to pivot and reinvent how community performances were conducted. SBDF funded the purchase of portable flooring, and continued to issue scholarships to dancers in need.
